Flower on the verge,
I wanted to grow
Flower on the verge,
I needed to know
I had colours
I had dreams
If the sun came out,
I cried for its beams
Flower on the verge
Young shy and wild
Flower on the verge
With the heart of a child
Flower on the verge
To see the sun
To feel the sun
I knew I had a right
A whole new world,
In it’s light
Stir my roots with fire and rain
A trial or irony, keeps me sane
I live to wonder
And wonder to know
Can the wind bring me love?
And courage for it to grow
Flower on the verge
Time has served the patient
Flower on the verge
Flourish a niave creation
I bloom.
I bloom, I bloom, and I bloom.
Passion inside bursts blindly
“It’s about time”
I reply kindly
I can see the world, it’s balance of soul
The mountains, water, trees
At peace with their role
I am a bounty of colour
I wouldn’t change for another
My petals essence my inquisition
An artist’s purpose and inspiration
Peeking through the weeds,
What do I see?
Another bloomed flower
Looking right back at me
It’s bold, it’s beautiful
Exactly as I wished
With a yearning in me,
I learned how to kiss
Flower on the verge
Grow with me side-by-side
