Jammin' in the sun

Jammin' in the sun

A Poem by Pennywriter

Jammin’ in the sun

…La…la…la…la…la…la…

The guitarist

Sings the sun,

To the optimist,

To the pessimist.

The deep voice,

Tuned to the cord’s rhythm,

Is sound in a steep hymn.

Dim…dim…dim...dim…dim…

The strings ,

Pull the heart,

Dragging you

From the start.

Each touch

Is a voice,

A choice,

At your fingertips.

Smoke a dream,

Light a fire,

Like a beam,

With your lighter.

…Di…di…di, di, di…di, di, di, di…

Make your day brighter.

A couple of years ago NASA released some recordings of the sun...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRu_hG3X3bI
I listened to them and wrote a poem about it (cant find it now)
I like your comparison penning of the two combined... sound and sunlight

The Youtube video was very interesting! Thank you for the suggestion.
Enjoyed this poem. Being a 2-pack a day smoker myself, I am loaded with much guilt by those around me so it’s a pleasant change to sing a song about it. Cheerio Boss. You’re good with the writing.
