Blazing heart

Blazing heart

A Poem by Pennywriter

Blazing heart

Winds blow over London Bridge,

Just like Ero’s arrow.

“Midge” as we call him,

Bows to the beat of his heart.

Midge sings misery on the bridge,

Violins and tambourines

That make us happy…

But is he?

His symphony dances along the bridge.

Midge is without a penny

But smiles peacefully,

Lost in memory.

Midge recalls his Heart,

When they danced on London Bridge,

Her hair flying with the wind,

Shinning like a faraway star.

Winds blow away Midge’s misery.

So many fish gather in the river

As the melody gets higher and louder.

One day Eros’ll make Midge happy…

Again.

There are plenty more fish in the river. Sad when a romance doesn't work out as planned. Always a chance for other opportunities. Liked the visuals on London Bridge. Dancing while the wind blew in her hair so much more romantic than London buses or cars. Nicely composed lines.
