SolesA Poem by Adam LightThis one is weird. I'll share it now and fix it later. Not too many old ones would haughtily refuse to go out of the house with these peculiar shoes.
You see, they make the wearer seem to not stand as high. They are magic shoes that allude the unknowing eye.
The old ones still persevere, for what do they care, about a perceived false shortness from the shoes that they wear?
These shoes perform their function, just like all the rest. They'll cover up their old feet and take them on a quest.
But, the young ones, they won't protect their soles. They won't wear these magic shoes, for they must play their roles.
How could they be seen for something they are not? They need those inches in the eyes of those who write the plot. © 2017 Adam Light |
