WordsA Poem by Adam LightI gathered my words and went to the wall. I threw one at each brick, but it still didn't fall. I laid on the floor, and gathered some more. At myself these were thrown; I'd given up on the door. The pain put me out, and I had nothing to say, but then I woke up - and faced a new day. The destination was sure, and my words had returned, These words were so good, the wall would be burned! I gathered my words, and went to the wall. I placed one on each brick, and I lighted them all. One thousand duds, and the wall stood stronger. I laid on the floor, and gathered words longer. These words were poison, and I fell very ill, And yet I woke up to face a new day still. I went to the wall, without a single word. They would come later, however absurd. I knew it was time to silently face all the fears, that had become a brick wall over the years.
