Between You and Me, I'll take Death.

Between You and Me, I'll take Death.

A Poem by Crescence

Between you and Me, I'd take Death.

There's things I'd never go near.

Oh no, I wouldn't dare.

To me, I'd rather take death.

Because there's much worse things out there.

If I had to see

Sad mothers sighing

and children crying,

White men droning,

While their slaves are moaning.

Or Beautiful Flowers

Killed to make towers,

Women kneeling

To look appealing,

Planes bombed,

And lives robbed,

Child slaves,

Building their mother's graves,

Religious men

Fighting in dens

For things that might not exist,

And people wanted in lists.

Or animals stuffed

Just to go on display,

Cures for cancer

Fading away,

The rich ones lying,

To keep the classes,

People tortured

In huddled masses

The wise and keen,

Being just plain mean,

While the townspeople are stuck in debt,

Between you and me, I'd take death.

(Seems like the living are worse than the dead!)
