"

"Today I was jealous of the wind and the rain and the sun.
Because the wind caressed your silken hair and made you sigh with contentment, whereas I did not.
And then the rain fell and kissed your smooth skin and perfect lips a hundred thousand times, whereas I could never.
Then once the clouds lifted, the sun came out to shine and warm you in its' arms, whereas I have only dreamed of holding you.
Lastly, a rainbow appeared and made you giggle with childish delight, its' vibrant colours as beautiful a truth as it was painful; I can never hope to make you feel as alive as the wind and the rain and the sun.
And that's okay; I just want to see you smile."
