On Being An Insignificant Spec

On Being An Insignificant Spec

A Chapter by Aram Alexander
"

Deep thoughts in a shallow pool.

"

Sometimes when I have too much time on my hands and nothing on my mind I make the mistake of allowing my thoughts to wander, and then before I know it I have once again come to the inevitable conclusion that in the grand scale of things, I am nothing more than an insignificant speck existing for a mere second, a wink in the eyes geological time, trying in vain to leave my mark on the world; like a dog howling the proof of it's existence at the oblivious moon.

S**t, enough of that.
Time for a light conversation with Ben.

(Ben is my dad's super grumpy monkey; really not much of a conversationalist...)
