Anticipation

Waiting for the stars to align.

My love for her is the sweet sound of pressed piano keys having yet to reach my ears. It is fireworks beginning their ascent into the nighttime sky, yet to explode. It is the sun about to rise on the horizon. It is a star longing to be born.

All that is missing, 

is her.

The words to this flow... and by the title "Anticipation".... renders well with your last statement to the verse... All that is missing, is her. The comparison with one word to another makes this write... I would suggest that you rearrange the structure...

Thank you for your kind comments, and after re-reading it I agree that the order of "events" -for lack of a better word- should be rearranged.
I suppose those things pass me by quite frequently as I rarely edit after writing something; Most of the time I personally don't see the importance of doing such once the inspiration has passed.
