Of Men and Gods

Of Men and Gods

A Poem by Aram Alexander
"

Feelings of discontent; the revolution of our lives is now.

"
You're living on an incline, struggling up a steep hill
Each day you say you're fine as you pop another pill
It feels like you've been forsaken
And it feels like your back is breaking
Atlas was a slave to the world, just like yourself today
This Sisyphean rat race, chained by debt you'll never pay
And it feels like the Earth rests on your shoulders
Yeah it feels like you're forever pushing boulders
And yet somehow each day we find the will to carry on
Somewhere deep withing we unearth the hope that keeps us strong
And it feels like our spirit can never be bowed
Yeah it feels like one day we'll rule from the clouds
We are myths of flesh and blood
But will anyone remember us?

Sisyphean - sticks out in plain view of this write... but I see the discontent in your voice with this write... and the words within this one... I also noted the rhyme in areas... in the beginning and middle... and the last line gives the reader to ask the question...
