Hopeless(ly optimistic) RomanticA Poem by Aram AlexanderBeen there, done that. Doing it tomorrow again, probably. You freeze me with your cold shoulder, Yet you heat me up with your warm smile. Yeah you bring me down with your lack of interest, But you lift me up with those suggestive eyes. I don't know what game you're playing, But I'll gladly let you win, I hang onto every word you're saying, Forsake all Heavens for your sin. All because you're so damn worth it, I don't even know where to begin. You pull me close and then you push me away, Whenever you're near I don't know what to say. Like a lovedrunk sailor on a stormy ocean, My heart it drowns in these emotions. Everything around me is just a haze, Seeing life through a perpetual passionate daze. Whether this infatuation is wrong or right, I know this is something that I can't fight. And I know that I'll fall for you again, Every time you walk into my sight. I know you probably won't catch me now, But still I hope that someday You just might. © 2014 Aram Alexander |
