Letting Go

Letting Go

A Poem by Aram Alexander
"

Holding on is a natural instinct, letting go is not.

"
And honey, I miss you and I'm know you're being good.
And I'd love to be there with you, wishing that I could.
And if I can't be with you I would rather have a different face
And if someone tried to hurt you I would always take your place
And if I can't be near you I would rather be adrift in space
And if the gods desert us I would burn this chapel into flames
And though I want this to last forever we know it never will,
And the bittersweet goodbyes make the journey harder still.
All you touch and all you see is all my life will ever be.
I hope you see the world yet still remember me, forever loving you even if just in memory.
