Fire & Ice

Fire & Ice

A Poem by Aram Alexander

Like an ice crystal too near a flame,
You sit on the edge of an unseen oblivion.
I yearn to reach out to you,
But I fear you will melt
And glide through my fingers
Or become steam and vanish.
My heart would burn up
And be no more.
Like an ice crystal too near a flame.
