Veil of the Turtledove

Veil of the Turtledove

A Poem by Brandon

Cast upon the moon’s embrace
I yearn for your touch,
the heavenly caress of a goddess
melting my worries and fears
revitalizing my inner desires.
Dancing amongst roses,
twirling through the falling petals
of an enchanted garden of grace,
I vow myself to your existence.
Once lost within a world,
cursed with demons and hellfire,
I find your guiding light
warming my very flesh
and reminding my tortured soul
never turn is for the worse.
Without my heavenly guardian
holding me close to her bosom
driving away
all the putrid darkness in my heart
I would certainly rot
like the forever decaying corpse
trapped to suffer the waste of man.
Hold me my love,
guide my goddess,
warm me my light of love
so that I may forever know
there is something to live for.
