Life Impure

Life Impure

A Poem by Brandon

Every morning you wake
with the constant torture in your mind.
Your life as it is now
is like a decaying tree cut down for fire.
Innocence is a thing of the past
ever since the night of impure control.
That poor girl down the street
forever damned with your image in her head.
Peer pressure is your excuse
for slaving her just to ease your pain.
Your own pain begins
as you realize the sin you have committed.
Her screams, her consistent crying
now follows your every step.
Every step brings you closer to death
for nothing can change your final fate.
The relentless night has come
and it's time to end it all.
As you slowly close your eyes
you see everything at peace one last time.
