Less Then Three

Less Then Three

A Poem by Brandon

Along the beaten path
of a lost warrior
I dreamt of your face
guiding me like a faithful swan
protecting me
from agonizing pain
that seeps within my lost soul.
Your long glowing hair
your silky snow skin
all stored within my broken heart
a treasure even a grotesque dragon
couldn’t pilfer.
Your kiss, the beat of your heart,
the whisper of your timeless breath
encumbers my pain
from strangling my sanity.
Every night I scream
without a sound!
Every night I double over in pain
without a single movement!
I am lonely when surrounded!
I’m in the dark when flooded with light!
Without you I am nothing
and nothing
has become everything.
Everything is nothing
when your touch
is lost within the mist
of blinding damnation.
I would save you
if only I could
but how can I
save this maiden
of desire and love
when I rest upon the beaten earth
bleeding my life away.
