The Red in the Rainbow

The Red in the Rainbow

A Poem by PenFox

The red in my every vein,
Is the red in the rainbow that they try to restrain,

From being as free,
As anyone should be.

The red in the rainbow,
Is a part of me, you know.

All I want to be,
Is ripped from me,

By those who hate,
Those with the same sex as a mate.

Who are they,
To say who we can date anyway?

What kind of man,
Will kill another man,

Because of this?
Because of who he chose to kiss?

They don't know,
That we are the red in the rainbow.

And that we do belong,
And we have all along.
