The Cruelest King

The Cruelest King

A Poem by Pen Draggin'

The endless thirst cannot be fed

The desert sun has slain again

All the lilies lay dried and dead

Boasting from his empire o'erhead

The cruelest king to ever reign

The endless thirst cannot be fed

Cracking skies quiver the dirt beds

The king cries for his earthly sins

All the lilies lay dried and dead

Monsoons of sorrow come instead

With floods that life will not sustain

The endless thirst cannot be fed

Nothing but rocks and soils of red

Now that summer is here again

All the lilies lay dried and dead

And our heartless king o'er our heads

Breaking facade with much restrain

The endless thirst cannot be fed

All the lilies lay dried and dead
