A Poem by Pen Draggin'

 MEMORIES

immobilizing
lately they paralyze me
trying to grasp the whisps of what
i once knew so well
but the film has crackled
missing footage from the reels
blips and fragments flash
behind my eyes
nerves ignited
dancing electric in my brain
my hands are too small
i cannot hold them all
my stomach rises
in a desperate attempt to ooze them out
and the effort seems wasted
dread

I like this a lot. The use of imagery. I love the crackled movie footage, the sense of losing something slowly that you're trying to hold onto -- or just deal with. Well done.

Great tempo, great flow. I like how you defined the subject and you did it with only a few words. I didn't have to read for an hour to get your point. Succinct.
Great job.
