Will you meet me tonight,
late, at your window?

I need to see you
like a stargazer
sees the skies.

So simple yet so adorable and sweet..... how just a glimpse of the one you love can keep you satisfied...

loved the below lines

I need to see you,
like a stargazer
sees the skies.

i can relate it , the one who cannot be reached or you cant have you still like to see them.... their existence means so much to you.. thanks for sharing the beautiful creation..

Thanks for a great interpretation.
sweet piece. the poet is content to just watch from afar just like a stargazer. good comparison.

Thank you Woody.
A beautiful piece, filled with longing -- shades of missing someone who has passed, or perhaps just someone the speaker cannot attain, like the stars ...

Thank you for your interpretation.
Your illusive message could pertain to humans longing in the flesh . . . but the remarkable part is that it can also describe a longing for someone (or a pet) that's departed this earthly realm, since we often stand at the window to the hereafter with longing. Another idea sparked is standing at the window of someone we can't reach for some reason . . . so many meanings in your simple words.

You're welcome
Romeo and Juliet came to mind first, but then the gazing at the stars to give you focus on the love that is in your heart, but not with you at that moment. It has a true love feel to it. Thank you for sharing.
