My Brother's Keeper

When a bankrupt future opened up its steady walk
advancing toward insanity,
it saw an idle worldand tossed poetics to the sea.

When either buildings crumbled down
or Navy seamen fell and drowned,
each shard of news struck close to townturning care from verb to noun.
