Written for Tovli's Advanced 10/40write a poem that is no more, or less than 40 words using the following ten words, in the following order.
lightly
layered
darkness
flashes
branches
wet
stirring
shiver
remains
woman
At Life's Windowsill
Lightly floating, layered thoughts
Wane as darkness flashes by;
Branches speak sad, wet farewells
Mixed with stirring, whispered sighs.
Shiver not, for what remains
Is a woman washed of pain
Who has learned the lessons taught
Through life’s changing windowpane.
Amazing job! I am thoroughly impressed that you were able to come up with such a remarkable poem (that actually rhymes!) while staying within the constraints of this contest. Very, very well done.
