Beyond the Horizon
As far as eyes can see, a grand adventure waits;
Let's pack a bag, depart, and tempt the smiling fates.
A snowy mountain peak ascends before our eyes,
A winding trail to hike before the next sunrise,
Come, join the lucky few who never vacillate.
Lace skates and take the ice to carve some figure eights;
Canoe past antelope through narrowest of straits.
Come, gaze upon night's sky and contemplate its size
As far as eyes can see.
Let's wander through a field wild flowers punctuate
As sounds of birds and bees begin to resonate;
Let's watch the light of dawn etch color on fresh skies
While nature brings a view quite worthy of our sighs.
A wondrous world unfurls beyond our garden gate
As far as eyes can see.
