Lost in Tears

Somewhere, sometime, many years ago,
Fates were kind and said a sweet hello.
Love seemed all we two might need somehow;
Times have changed, and I must disavow
All those hopes and dreams that once did flow.

You seem distant, cold as driving snow.
Why, oh why, am I the last to know?
Someone else became your  'here and now.'

I don't understand you.

Need I say the truth's a bitter blow?
Can you toss the love I did bestow?
Anguish furrows deep within my brow,
Not the hope I'd rather still endow.
Answers whisper to me, 'No, no, no…
I don’t understand you.'
