Forever Beautiful

Forever Beautiful

Forever Beautiful

How often time can slip away
before I've said what I should say.
In moments spent reflecting life
with all its pleasures, pain, and strife,
I've come to treasure what you mean
though death's own gate now stands between.
What words can never seem to do
is capture how I think of you.
My eyes still tear, and heart still aches;
you're in the wind, the stars, the lakes,
and, even more, each quiet night
right after turning out the light.

You're beautiful and still a part
of memories that fill my heart.
