A Curse or a Blessing

A Curse or a Blessing

A Poem by Sharon Miller Bolander

When wind whispers come gushing

And time's tempest lies meek,
A still silence of longing
Refills moments left weak.
The calm keeper of silence,
She speaks softly in verse;
A muse answers in whispers
while words flowing immerse.

No nudge ever so gentle,
Nor prod forcefully mean,
Demands greater attention
Than mind's wandering scene.
With vast visions unfolding,
The hills call unto dawn;
A quill dipped in a river
Must pen now or be gone.

Bring dawn's simple reflection
Or eve's shadowed refrain,
Those thoughts floating midst silence
Shall speed out like a train.
She breathes life into writing;
She heals pain with her touch.
She's a dam of emotion;
And we're caught in her clutch.

I like this. I like the tone. Very good. I think the flow is good. Great work!
