Pondering What's What and WhyA Poem by Sharon Miller BolanderContest poem containing 10 required words: -mango – -ridge – -harp – -necessary – -fruit– -army – -residual – -gypsy – -relations – -kindness –What is a mango to a nerd? It's not a girl who’s hot, I’ve heard! Would a gypsy say to me That it’s a fruit, or it’s tree? But it's necessary to define If shade’s a wish, or just to dine. Residual? Is that the pit? Whatever's left behind, that’s it! An army passing ‘neath a tree Might grab some mangos that they see. I shall not harp on stealing here, Not from kindness, more from fear. Relations matter; reasons count. Tempers flare as tensions mount. Beyond the ridge ‘tween smart and dumb, A mango wonders who’s which one. © 2016 Sharon Miller BolanderReviews
