RecoveryA Poem by Peggy GildonRecovery
has given me hope of a life filled with smiles Where
happiness triumphs over the tribulations and trials Now
I look and I can see that God has plans for me And
challenges can be faced; they can’t bring me to my knees Recovery
has given me faith that each day will be
better than the last And
hurdles are just obstacles I choose to dance past Recovery
has given me joy in a million different ways Through
a song or a scent or to watch a child play Recovery
has given me love in my heart And
to love and be loved, well that’s the best part Peggy
