Recovery

Recovery

A Poem by Peggy Gildon

Recovery has given me hope of a life filled with smiles

Where happiness triumphs over the tribulations and trials

Now I look and I can see that God has plans for me

And challenges can be faced; they can’t bring me to my knees

Recovery has given me faith that each day will

be better than the last

And hurdles are just obstacles I choose to dance past

Recovery has given me joy in a million different ways

Through a song or a scent or to watch a child play

Recovery has given me love in my heart

And to love and be loved, well that’s the best part

Nice rhyme and very necessary message. It's proof that there's always reason for hope.
