The Scenic RouteA Poem by Peggy GildonWe all need to take life one day at a time. Stop and smell the roses. Observe what is going on around you. ENJOY YOUR LIFE!People
are in such a hurry to get from here to there Rushing
through each day they don’t know that it’s so rare They
will never get it back once that day is done They
don’t enjoy accomplishments, move on to the next one What’s
the rush? We can’t wait to get to the
end? Rich
or poor are we living the way that God intends? We
work and work to get the “things” we “need” We
can’t raise our own children we have to chase our greed We
don’t have time to sit outside and watch the children play We
have to cook and clean because tomorrows another day I
know times are different now and things today aren’t cheap But
there’s that old adage, what you sow you reap You
only live once and I seriously doubt You
enjoy the speed of the highway, take the scenic route Peggy
