A Walk with 'Her'

A Walk with 'Her'

A Poem by Peeyush
"

My first attempt of writing poetry in this genre i.e romance

"

On a winters’ night of the late December,

That was the time when the day surrender.

The moon was dull yet the stars bright,

We sat on a pavement holding hands together.

The streets were empty and the roads were dead,

It was my perfect chance to give you the best I had.

We started our journey on a silent note, but

Slowly and steadily we began sailing our boat.

And then We walked, we hopped

We laughed, we talked.

Your cheerful smile was worth a million gaze,

Which kept me in a way self engaged

Every minute your pretty face kept me bound,

I wasn’t looking on the road rather was walking to the sound.

When the night became darker and the cold intensified,

Yet every moment of it was proving to be the best of my life.

I was so lost in your beauty that it never occurred to me,

To drag me out of my thoughts, when you hid behind that tree.

We walked, we hopped

We laughed, we talked.

Just when I was seeing my world in your glittering eyes,

Our little journey came to an end in its typical style.

I wanted to hold your hand forever and never let you go,

But the road had ended; I wish we were a little slow.
