Miraculous Birds

This was my first poem ever that invoked my interest in writing. It's a FANTASY short poem.

Two birds black and white,

flying in the sunlight

I was the witness,

praising their fitness

They came down,

making 'chick'  sound

sat on my shoulder'

my eyes grew bolder

They said- "Thank thee"

"Is it true what I see?"-

I whispered. In my word,

"can speak a bird?"

I quite liked it :) The central idea was beautiful, and it was fairly well-written. The only flaw I could find (and please don't take offense at this!) was that the rhyming seemed the slightest bit forced in places. Other than that, great write! :)
