Transition

Transition

A Poem by Peaches
"

Fall? A perfect time to fall in love?

"

Why would I fall in love in the autumn?

What an unsettling, inconvenient time.

Although the spring alludes an illustration of lust,

In Autumn, the fire leaves drop to the ground

And the sunlight leaves, leaving the grass to burn.

My heart dries up and drops to the ground.

You leave me bare like the naked trees.

Cold and scared,

Gasping for your warm.

I needed more air, but the planet decided to move on.

Will you move with them?

The crisp winter air plays with the wind

And bites into my skin.

What a bittersweet time to fall in love.

Nicely written! Love never moves on if it really is true. Good read ☺
