Remained Cover or Poker Face

Remained Cover or Poker Face

A Poem by Peaches
"

I wish I had a a flower to that typical loves me or loves me not thing.

"

I closed my eyes and imagined how the situation plays out.

The world turns on it’s axes.

The cards fall from a tower decorated with Christmas lights.

And one card lands in front of me,

Only it stands with the back design facing me,

between a cracked space.

The design sparkled with a long-haired blond fairy.

I hear a voice from above,

I think, someone probably called out my name.

I look up,

To which I see the rest of the cards falling down.

They first fell like love confession letters.

Then, poured like rain.

Looking down at the numerous cards discarded,

I saw a joker on my right

And an ace of hearts to my left.

I opened my eyes.

I look at your face.

Still, I can’t tell.

How do you feel about me?
