dont care what people say

okay, i'm not anything "good" today, 

well not for you anyway

i could not do what you thought would be good.

well if it helps i dont want to.

and so i have told you 

in the simplest words i can find

you think i am rude

i dont really care if you mind.

because my heart lies with my dreams

i cant help it if they dont fit your schemes.

i tried fitting your dreams and working for your goals

but that was it, no more.

i tried hard, as much as i could.

now i will focus on what i want, as i should.

i have spent long enough 

on what you would.

my life is my own and so are my failures

so let me make my decisions 

you dont respect, dont understand

then dont hurt me with your sarcastic tone.

people just talk, people come and go

and the truth is, i am no one to you.

well, just as well let it be so, 

the feeling is mutual you know.

no matter what i say

your prejudiced deaf ears will never hear

what my dreams, my heart is about

so i hold it inside and never let it out.

one day you will see

when something i will be

i'll reach where no one can

i'll be what no one dares 

coz the one who dares 

to be different from others

the one who is brave enough 

to be themselves today is me.

you will be sorry. you will be.

for hurting me, judging me, mocking me, 

making yourself feel better about yourself

by second guessing me and bringing me down.

you dont get it, like i care.

i wonder if you can anyway

i will follow my heart. dont care what people say

i am great. i will be great. i am happy. i am me.
