Unpassionate Flame

Unpassionate Flame

A Poem by Andrea R.
"

The fire is dying down, why?

"

Do not encourage her heart to let go

You never know when she will leave this world

Do not tell her that she fulfills your soul

She does not need words, she just needs your love

Do not encourage her to not get caught

She is someone that just will come and go

Do not give her what you know you should not

She does not need you, she can go back home

Are you aware that you are killing her?

Every night you pretend that all is good

Are you aware that you are pleasing her?

Every night your wrong act comes like it should

Will you face her and tell her the one truth?

Will you cheat her and tell her it's all good?

Hope you enjoy, though :)

thanks :)
Loved the last line! Boy, the lessons here. Most people think they want the truth until it comes out... Most people also don't tell the truth wirh this reasoning for the excuse. Either way it is going to get very cold and uncomfortable when the fire is gone. Sometimes our heart just has no more fuel to add to the fire...
Enjoyed this. Very thoughtful and deep.
Be well.

I didn't think it was going to be ok sin.. read more
I really do like it. It's sad and a bit heartbreaking, but at the same time it has this light air to it that doesn't over power the writing. Good job.
