Battlefield of PrideA Poem by Andrea R.In this war, I win.Tattered and useless I seem to now stand Shouting and shouting your name to the air I walked and tripped to reach a point I can't Pride kicking and ending the war unfair
Gasping and fighting you seem to now be Drowning and drowning your eyes of bright black Are closing to face truth, hate, and just me I know today and never you'll be back
Question our fates and whisper my lost name Didn't you think that for it I would do all? Surrender now and life won't be the same Could pride and love ever twine and not fall?
Too far to walk back to the start of pride Your heart dead and wanting, from me, to hide © 2012 Andrea R.Reviews
