InsecurityA Poem by PeacefulPiecesHow can we love when we're both swimming in a raging sea of insecurity?
Insecurity
We’ve both had pasts that brought us only pain. We’ve both been hurt by love and been betrayed. Despite it all, we’ve tried and tried in vain To leave behind the scars that have been made. I ask you where you go at night alone. You check online to see what I have done - To doubts and anxious thoughts we both are prone And now, My Love, I think the end’s begun. We see the scars, we touch the half-healed cuts. We know the burning pain of bleeding heart. And still, the door to trust is steadfast shut. You think we both would want a fresh, new start. Together now, we swim the raging sea " Our love, it drowns with insecurity. © 2017 PeacefulPiecesReviews
