The WoundA Poem by Raven LightnerAnother object/person--don't worry this isn't all I do! This one's a bit more depressing...and not imaginary.A couple years ago, the war was still going, full blast. You heard every day about more people dead, or more people dying, so, naturally, I worried about everyone, especially my family. One guy--or more, perhaps--who died while over there in Iraq had gotten a bullet to the heart. It's a wonderful wound if you survive it, if the bullet just barely misses. This guy wasn't so lucky, so he couldn't go home and look as badass as he had wanted. Not that his wife would have cared. While he was away, she had shacked up with his best friend, giving the excuse she was lonely, she couldn't take anymore time alone. He found out right before he was killed. Guess you can put him down for two wounds to the heart, not just the bullet wound.
