White sheets, white walls

A white piece of paper in my hand

I stare at you, your crystal clearness

The clarity in your coldness

The beads of sweat that roll down the glass I have caged you in

Forgive me but you are

A sweet leisure, an intoxicating pleasure

I give you time to roll down my throat

Waiting for you to kick the poet in me

Let my words flow

Your transparency whispers little words in my ears

My world is now a tiny bubble of colors

Floating in the mild breeze that blows outside in this cold December night

You are a beautiful invention of someone I don’t know

But let it be that way

I like the mystery in your purity.

I know this person who is a poet and he says he cannot write without drinking...he was describing it so i turned it into a poem..whatcha think?

O to behold the clarity you express. This must be vodka. Even the word now tastes poetic:) hehe. I guess it's important to remember that what we do create, as mysterious and unaswerable as it may be, does always come from within us, or through us; the influence of some form of muse only helps us to get there, be it what it is, by freeing our senses from the oppression of our own self-consciousness. Alcohol is like, generally, the socially-accepted, artificial, instant way. But it's kind of like, because of its ease, the 'method,' or 'vehicle,' becomes the idol, the object of worship instead of the 'god' in our minds it represents, which creates dependancy, obsession and addiction. Mind you, love muses do that too.

Interesting piece, sure "the russian blonde" gives you courage with words and sometimes makes you take the right/wrong action, but hey it's about the ride...anyway great poem, about drinking the description is great

I knew a poet who could not drink without writing. I think the visuals in this are wonderful, I've never been a big drinker, maybe that's what's wrong with my poetry, lol. :)

First, I am sorry about your friend. A tragic conundrum. Poe used opium and booze and shrank away. Some are locked by fear or convention or other emotional issues.

Now to your poem. It is a good poem. I like the blankness of the opening turning into color and life at the end. A worthy offering.
