Ugly GirlsA Poem by Lonely IslanderDon't judge them by their looks.
It's easy to write a poem about a beautiful girl
You get to describe her beautiful features The things about her that make you melt and dissolve Into an abyss of eternal happiness and beauty The oh so fiery features that make your skin tingle Her long thick hair that blows in the breeze The breeze carries her scent And you drift into a different world taking it in The only thing you miss out in the long pages of poetry you write Is her heart. When it comes to a girl who is labelled as 'ugly' due to her unattractive features It takes hours for you to write a single line Sometimes you take your eyes off How long can you at someone so unattractive? But just take a look into her eyes The eyes that say it all That twinkles like the stars in the night sky That speak of the hidden pain that people like you have caused Through her eyes, take a look at her heart The heart that beats so loud but still you can't hear it The heart that yearns to be loved The heart that yearns for a little attention Trust me, once you take a look at that little bag of feelings You will run out of pages to write So once in a while, look at an 'ugly' girl in a crowd She's the one that glows amidst them all.
