AcidA Poem by Lonely IslanderJust a blend of science and emotions
I feel the acid slowly trickling down my esophagus
Reacting slowly with the little drops of water in my cells Burning my throat, my skin Slowly spreading to reveal the pink flesh inside The blood, thick and red, oozes out As the acid continues its journey. It reaches my heart, my oh so feeble heart My heart, so scarred and distorted, now burns in fire The fire cannot be put out by carbon dioxide It need way more than that But it keeps on pumping still, Spreading the acid all over my body through my weak veins I feel them slowly tearing apart as the acid spreads. The acid has now reached my fingertips, A similar burning in my toes My whole body is on fire Its burning with a fire so intense That it makes sure not a single part of me exists It is going to carry on until I turn to ashes But ain't I even smaller than a tiny speck of ash? I stare at you with my burning eyes, It's funny how your words are like acid.
