Looking Glass World

Looking Glass World

A Poem by Pax Analog
"

Lyric to WHOLE SONG of same title in playlist player on my profile pg.

"

This thorny rose, this purple heart

Arrows and slings, fortunate smarts

It's still a Looking Glass World

what you're seeing is mostly you

In a Looking Glass World,

Wonderland is a melting through

Attention's gold, a will to be

beyond all worlds, where Life is free

It's still a Looking Glass World. . .

I and I in twists of fate, singing soft hallelu'

smiling eyes, eternal date,

Deeper Love shines right through ya

I've been around, been lost and found

through inner space, building a case

It's still a Looking Glass World. . .

I and I in twists of fate. . .

By passion bound, also released

the deepest Love is perfect peace

If I didn't know your words were lyrics, I'd think they were - the tempo sort of jumps off the screen!

It's quite an unusual theme, no, it IS an unusual theme but then, you always see things differently from other people, that's what makes you a unique writer - not that I understand most of what you write - but, your words are thought-provoking and picture raising.. what more can a reader ask.

Thank you, thank you for sharing.

Deep and profound piece here. A first read and I am impressed with how deep of meaning you put into your work.

Well written, awesome lyrical quality.

I had an expectation from the title - looking glass world, through the looking glass - and you did not disappoint though I greatly admire that you did not overdo or go for the cliched connection. No mention Alice though the wonderland is a nice and fitting touch. Most notably the line "I and I in twists of fate" is my favorite and jumps out at me. Reflection, mirrors, the I in I, etc. Good poetry is always musical (it does not surprise me that this would be set to such)- words working off of one another to create a rhythm.

A wonderfully melancholy write and the last line two lines say it all... nicely done.

deepest love is peace- what a lovely thought, and to read it without the music - still melodic and full of tempo...

Great voice! 'A Looking Glass World' seems so true although I am one of those people who tries to avoid the mirror myself. I'm not sure why but unless I have to be there I will shy away from them. 'Alice in Wonderland' comes to mind in this work - surrealistic. There are some beautiful lines in the lyrics as well...
'where Life is Free', 'the deepest Love is perfect peace' - ah to find such a thing. Thank you for sharing your immense talent musically, lyrically, poetically.
Light,

Beautiful lyrics... mesmorising melody. Enchanting.

"The deepest love is perfect peace" ... I want to drown in such love, immerse myself in that perfect peace, until I am one with such harmonious joy.

Beautiful!

I like this one alot...it really shows that "perception" is the pathway to peace. Your flow is always amazing, and I truly enjoyed the lyrical version as well. More so than in many other lyrical pieces, your work has a distinct sense of imagery and the wordplay is wonderful. Nicely done!

"In a Looking Glass World,
Wonderland is a melting through"

I like those lines, alot.

I gotta be honest though, I'm not exactly too sure what this song is about, but I don't care. You have a special way with your words that I like. I need to go on the play list now and have a listen, I love your voice and guitar playing. I'm sure I will love it.
