Prez is not elected, justice is neglected

Terror's too convenient, keeps the public lenient

Cultural confusions, national contusions

voting for the shadow of a doubt

Heroes in the ashes, villains wrapped in sashes

siege of usurpation up top

System's less than you are, how will you declare war

on stupid so defining pop/unpop?

Just the usual -- IT"S A WHOLE SONG HERE -- and a warning document for Americans to do their best to get back in the saddle of democracy, so that right-wing corporatism laced with addled religiosity can not continue to hijack the noble American experiment while yammering on about "terrorists" -- look in the mirror! Corporatist American foreign policy for the last frickin' 50 yrs. has BEEN a state terrorist activity in many instances! Chile! El Salvador! The "free" market is socialism for the rich, and economic terrorism for the poor. Hold shock tactic Friedman-ian economics accountable. Nothing unreasonable about Keynesian New Deal economics where ALL people are concerned. Government regulation only bothers sawdust sharks in suits, and their brainwashed guppies. Fuck 'em.

I relate our will to procrastination... doing nothing because you are too lazy to act only increases the work load in the end...

Reminds me of the song Ball of Confusion. Catchy rhythm; harsh reality. Although I believe that mankind itself is going down the toilet, I disagree that you can place all the blame on our one nation. Many nations out there are run on little to no conscience and human life is expendable. The selfishness of society as a whole and the self righteousness of mankind has led to our being an intelligent society of lamebrain intellectuals.

Boy this poem make me remember those sad, awful days. I remember I went to bed and Gore was president, but when I woke up the world had gone mad and it stayed that way for the next fours years. Hopefully now we'll have some sanity. Again your words really sing here.

My cousin was in the world trade center on 9/11. She escaped with all of her other co-workers. They were in building number 5, so everyone got out of there unlike those in the two towers. They saw the horror though and many will never be out of therapy because of it. Some great words and thoughts here, but I'm learning that's what I should expect from you.

Deep... This was a great testament to the passion that still exists in some of us, and NEEDS to be revivied in the rest. Too many people have the "someone else will do it for me" mentality and don't bother to take the time to understand the things that really matter and really impact thier lives. Wonderfully written...

The government is supposed to represent and fear it's people.

However, we expect the government to take care of our every need anymore, so why then do so many people want the handout and then complain at the same time? I'm tired of being "led" to thinking a certain way, to believing they know what they're doing...omg...AIG is the BIGGEST f**k-up group of people I've seen....the bailout....and they go to the spa??? They go hunting pheasants in England???? on MY taxes????

It is a good screeching voice filled w/ some angry unresolved genius points. I can't write the way you do, it is very much an individual gift. I can say however that my wife and I went to court and got divorced on 9/11.
