Hurricane

Hurricane

A Poem by Pawprints

Has the quiet

Ever been this hauntingly loud

Has the peace

Ever been this tauntingly annoying

How is it that I can hear the rustle

The trees

Outside

But the thoughts in my head

Are no more than whispers

Hissed beneath a hurricane

You got my attention with 5 lines of poetry here...in the lines...you give the reader stopping points as one reads this verse...and the end is subtle...goes with the rest of your thoughts...
