Dancing

Dancing

A Poem by Pawprints

Like elegant steps

You’re words dance across the page

To the sound of your own

Breathtaking music

Each twirl

Each dip

Bringing a new round

Of muted applause

In the arms of an invisible dancer

I leap and bound

With an unnamable intensity

To the silent sound

Of your roaring voice

Other dancers come in

Swooping around me

Dancing to the same notes

But not for a second hearing what I do

Let us end the night

Let me clap while you bow

And perhaps I may curtsy

But the music will still play

Long after we have left

Fading into the night

This is a really nice piece; I like the flow of the words, they really remind me of a dance the way they can be both smooth and disjointed at the same time. One gramatical error - it's "your" rather than "you're", the latter referring to "you are". Great poem, I can't wait to read more of them :)

Oops! Thanks for the review, I'll make sure to change that!
This is so beautiful!!
And yet i think you are somehow holding back :).
I think you should show some more passion in your writting .
