Waving at the Moon

Waving at the Moon

A Poem by Pawprints

Sometimes at night
When I can't sleep

I look up at the moon
And wave

Because it must get lonely up there

It must get lonely having to see
Thousands of people everyday

Admiring you
Talking about you
Studying you

It must get lonely
Only being visited every so often

And drifting throughout space
The empty chasm of stars

Watching adventures
From afar

So I sit and wave
Because I'm like the moon

I sit and watch adventures
And wait for my own
