This Room

This Room

A Poem by Pawprints

The sun bounces off the walls

Of this room

This room that echoes with emptiness

That oozes despare

Leaches its sadness onto me

And mixes with my bitter tears

This room I lay alone in

Gasping in the dark

The ceiling is gone

And the walls have sense fallen apart

The room that I've built around myself

Now broken

The tear stained floor

Peeling slowly away from me

This horror scene

i really liked it.... at first i thought it was a literal room but then i got the impression that it was more of a mental or emotional room, really liked the phrasing. and i think i agree with you on the ending.. felt like u left it wanting like one or two more sentences

Yeah, endings are always the hardest for me. Thanks for reviewing :)
It's a rather abrupt ending, I know, and I wish I had the time to make it longer (sorry) but tell me what you think!
