Purple Converse and an Unwanted MeetingA Chapter by Pawprints
I raced out of the classroom, ignoring the teachers shouts and my classmate's mutters. This was bad. This was worse than bad. This was a catastrophe.
Elbowing my way through a pool of middle-schoolers, I managed to make my way to the bathroom, where I barged through the door and slammed into a stall, hurriedly locking it behind me. Breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out. "And then I said, like, no you don't, like, this is totally, like so redic, but then he like, kissed me anyways, and so I was, like, omg, like, I tots love you forever now!" a girl in the next stall chimed into her phone. I sighed, leaning my back against the stall. Maybe I could high out here for the rest of the day, and maybe sneak out once nobody was looking-- The loudspeakers outside of the bathroom crackled to life. "Sadie Roberts has been reported missing from a classroom. If anyone sees Sadie Roberts they need to report to the office straight away." Oh, damn. At least nobody really knew what I looked like. "Sadie is wearing a long sleeved black shirt, red skirt with black tights, and purple converse sneakers. If you see this brunette with grey eyes, please report to the office." No. No, no, no, no, no, no, no... It couldn't be here. It couldn't have found me. The girl in the next stall over cleared her throat. "I'll call you back." Crap. Crap, crap, crap! I tucked my shoes up onto the toilet seat and held my breath. Please/-- "Um, like, could you--" "My apologizes, Miss," another voice, obviously male with a strange accent cooed. "There seems to be a mistake." "Oh god! I'm I in the boys?" she screeched. I waited until the door slammed before peeking out of the stall. "Well, my dear," the Genie said. "We meet again."
