WhispersA Poem by Pawprints
They trickle around me
Soft breaths of voices Tugging me closer Waiting for me to listen And I do Eagerly wishing to hear Pushed to the edge of my seat The clock quietly ticks From the corner My muscles tensing Stiffening The adrenaline Slowly seeping from me Little voices still murmur No longer intriguing Weary With use Twisted until no longer legible I yawn and lay down Blinking slowly Falling to the whispers Of things i can no longer hear
