Until we meet again

Goodbye my sweet love,
Until we meet again,
If I should be granted this one wish,
Know that my love still lies deep within,
It was a world of happiness, we both sought,
A doubtless love, not yet restrained,
This burden presented itself,
While fearful of your silence,
Unbeknownst to me,
Competing for your heart,
Carefully I would always tread,
Love poetry would be written,
Only to blind eyes it was read,
So goodbye my sweet love,
Until we meet again,
My heart will always remain open,
For it be only well wishes I send.

Not a typical rhyming poem from me this time. Although this is a little sad, I hope you still enjoy.
